Make a Bake

Turning Heads have teamed up with Devon County Council and as part of care leavers week, sent out 65 recipe boxes to care leavers from Devon who are located all across the UK.

Please join in with the recipe and download the recipe and watch the video. There is also a TikTok video of Marnie and her team at County Hall posting the boxes and getting them out to everyone.

Update on Day Activities

Hello.

Well, we have now been open for over 2 weeks at The Windmill Centre in Hele Village and it has been a busy time. Here are some of the photos from some of the highlights so far. We are currently running wellbeing, art, beauty, cooking, gardening, and enterprise sessions as well as running the community café.

There is still space in all the sessions, and you can start at any time. We guarantee a warm welcome and would love to see you. Please follow the link on the website which has information about prices and enrolment forms.

Look forward to seeing you soon. If you need any information, just drop us an email or phone me on 07817777739.

Cooking on Zoom!

Last night we ran a zoom cookery and quiz session with people attending from all across Torbay.

There were some amazing muffins cooked and lots of enthusiasm for the cookery quiz.

Prizes will be sent out once all of the answer sheets come in!

Huge thanks to June and Rhys from Turning Heads who made the cooking look professional 🙂 “

Disability Awareness Week

Next week, Turning Heads are involved in providing opportunities for people during Disability Awareness Week.

We will be running a live cooking session over Zoom on Thursday 24th June at 7pm.

If you are keen to get involved then download the recipe and ingredients list and quiz sheet. You’ll find the Zoom info in the poster.

We look forward to seeing you there.

News Update

Turning Heads like to get involved and share good practice and stories.

Here is a link to a young carer called Amelie who has made some fun Easter recipes for Mencap Torbay.

Check these out and have a go at cooking some chocolatey treats 🙂
